Programs & Services

WCCS provides a wide variety of programs and services throughout Warren County to help support and strengthen the fabric of our community:

Helping Children and Families Succeed

Adult New Readers
Adults with literacy challenges are tutored to increase their reading and writing skills. Legal immigrants are taught English as a second language.

Early Learning Centers
Provide high quality early learning programs for income eligible families of 3 and 4 year old children. Nationally accredited centers prepare children, regardless of income, for success in school. Childcare options are available. Early Head Start for infants, toddlers, and expectant mothers is offered and childcare options are available.

Family Services
Provides support and information to families who are experiencing difficulty meeting their essential needs. Services include: Emergency Services, Linkages with Community, Medication Assistance and Employment.

Helping Reduce Energy Costs

Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) Assists income eligible households with energy needs, by providing financial assistance through programs like Summer Cooling and Winter Crisis.

Housing for Seniors and Families

Senior Housing and Family Housing
Provides clean, safe, and affordable housing for income eligible families and seniors in Warren County.


Helping Older Adults Remain Active and Independent

The 741 Center
Offers adults, 55 and over, an array of quality programs, services, activities, trips and information to enrich their lives. The Center provides a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere to socialize, make friends, and enjoy a healthy lunch.

Elderly Services Program (ESP)
Assesses and provides support services to older adults, age 60 and over, to help them remain safe and independent in their own homes. WCCS provides the Intake, Assessment and Care Management services for Warren County Elderly Services Program.

Meals on Wheels™ and Senior Nutrition
Delivers fresh, nutritionally balanced lunches to homebound adults, 60 and over. Trained and caring drivers, who also provide a safety check for WCCS clients, deliver meals Monday through Friday. Weekend meals are also available. Hot, prepared fresh daily lunches are served at five senior luncheon sites throughout the county.

RSVP Volunteer Program
Assists individuals, 55 years of age and over, in exploring their volunteer interests. RSVP partners with local nonprofits to match volunteer’s with challenging and rewarding service opportunities in their local community.

Senior Transportation
Provides assisted medical transportation to seniors, 60 and over, within Warren County and into all bordering counties. Non-medical transportation is provided for groups of five or more seniors going from one location to another.

Supportive Services
Provides adults, 60 and over, individualized assistance with applications, insurance, and refers clients to benefits and services including prescription programs.
