Aging Services Programs:
Supportive Services

Warren County seniors, 60 and over, have many services available to them. Supportive Services connects these seniors to programs and services that help them solve problems they may face.

Services include: 

  • HEAP credits and PIPP programs help with utilities. Winter crisis and summer crisis programs are also available (help with winter heating bills including fuel oil, propane, etc. and summer cooling bills). These services must meet income eligibility.
     
  • Assistance with applying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Income (SSDI).

  • Home modification grants for seniors who may not be able to stay in their homes due to safety issues. Renters are not eligible for this program.

  • Assistance applying for insurances, Medicare, Medicaid and prescription coverage, as well as applications for other benefits. Home visits are available to help with applications.

  • Monthly Commodity Box applications based on income. Deliveries are available but must meet certain criteria.

  • Running errands for homebound seniors such as grocery pick-up, deliveries, and post office drops-offs.

  • Referrals to other WCCS departments if needed as well as to other organizations if service is unavailable at WCCS.
