Family Services staff and volunteers work diligently to provide individualized assistance for families who are struggling to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency in Warren County.
Family Services Program areas include:
- Information & Referral (I & R)
The purpose of I&R is to keep clients well-informed of the agency’s programs, services, activities and events. Referrals will be made to programs within our Agency and to all available resources in Warren County. This provides for better continuity of services, avoids gaps in services, and helps with future self-sufficiency.
- Linkages with Community
Family Services staff connects with other family serving organizations to provide for better continuity of services. By linking with other agencies, gaps in services are avoided. Referrals to other county and state organizations are provided when needed to help with future self-sufficiency.
- Emergency Services
Certified Family Development Specialists assist households with utility and rent vouchers for those facing evictions or a shut off. Financial assistance varies and is individualized based on needs and available funds. Family Services staff work to help individuals and families identify strategies for avoiding future requests for financial assistance.
- STEP -
Success Towards Employment Program
STEP is a program providing job coaching and one-on-one intensive support for low income job seekers. A trained employment specialist assesses for individual needs and works to develop a comprehensive individualized employment plan.
- MAP (Medication Assistance Program)
MAP helps individuals obtain no cost or reduced rate prescriptions and assists low income, uninsured individuals complete applications for medication assistance.
